Occupational Therapy

Therapy matters

Senility is a progressive illness. In time it negatively affects memory, motor skills, limits self-reliance in the performance of basic actions. This, however, does not mean that rehabilitation is meaningless and it is not worth to attempt it. It is worth it, and necessary.

Games – therapy for the body and mind

terapia_zajeciowaIn order to stimulate seniors at the PFLEGEHEIM Homes we organize occupational therapy. It involves motion exercises, walks, collaborative fun and games, e.g. football, singing or tasks which facilitate mental activity. Psychotherapy, physical therapy and integration meetings play a very important role in maintaining intellectual capacity, as well as maintaining motor capabilities for as long as possible. In advanced stages of the illness they constitute an element of counteracting muscle atrophy and bedsores.
